Late, heavy lunch. Skipped dinner. Came home after midnight. Was hungry. Mother cooked. Kitchen smelt funny. So is the char kuey teow. Spat on my first bite. Kerang turned bad. Lost me appetite.
And no, there's nothing wrong with the title.
